CONNECTING WITH THE COMMUNITY
As a young association, ACSA is currently under development and updates are shared with the citizen science community via the ACSA newsletter, so sign up and don’t miss another update! Do you have citizen science updates of interest to the citizen science community? Feel free to drop us an email so we can share it via our newsletter, you can also share your updates on ACSA social media (Twitter: @CitSciOz, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google+). Don’t forget to have a look at the new ACSA Publication List, which is a quarterly electronic listing of publications in the field of citizen science within the Australian community. You can contribute!
The Australian Citizen Science Association began to take shape following an Inaugural Citizen Science Workshop that was held in May of 2014. A large number of dedicated volunteers helped actively develop the structure of ACSA and build awareness of Australian citizen science, here and around the world. Are you curious as to the types of citizen science projects underway across Australia? Have a look at the Citizen Science Project Finder, you might even find something happening in your local area! You can also check out the citizen science posters which were displayed at the inaugural Australian Citizen Science Conference in July 2015 (click on the link at the bottom of the first paragraph).
